* Spoiler Alert*

Fact Number 1: Each time you get to a level you start as big/adult Toad. Even if you were small/kid toad when you beat the last level, you get to be big/adult Toad on the next level.

Fact Number 2: If you die enough times (in the beginning of the level) you are given a mushroom that gives invincibility, and you get it by picking the plant.

Fact Number 3: In Shadow Play level, inside the Bonus book, near the two fire plants that you cross behind the piller (column?) is a 8-bit Fire Hat Luigi that is going up and down in the shadow. (he is in color too!)

Fact Number 4: The game was originally inclined as a Legend of Zelda game with Link being the protagonist, due to the director, Shinya Hiratake, wanted to remove the jumping mechanic. Miyamoto’s goal was to produce actual dioramas. It was introduced into Super Mario 3D World as a mini-game, then became the game we know and love today.

Fact number 5: Kinoko-zoku means “Mushroom People”

Fact Number 6: Kinopio is Toad’s Japanese name

Fact number 7: The Wii U title Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker casts Captain Toad into the spotlight. It is his first game in 20 years since Wario’s Woods. This is his first official Nintendo Title.

Random Fact: Birds are in this game (I know this is random, but Nintendo has a thing about birds, like the chickens in Zelda, etc)
